Splendid map of the Holy Land as seen in Biblical times and depicting the Exodus and the Wandering. Moses and Aaron flank the decorative cartouche, Jonah and the whale are shown in the sea, and the Pharaoh's forces are seen drowning in the Red Sea. The map is oriented with west at the top by a lovely compass rose. This map was engraved by Hondius and purchased by Blaeu who issued it under his own name.

Fine original color. Short tear, foxing and stains in wide margins, not affecting image.
