The following lots are beautiful, early, chromolithograph plates from "Studer's Popular Ornithology, The Birds of North America" published in Montreal, 1881. The plates (9 x 12") were lithographed on stone by Theodore Jasper Nest of the Green Heron with three chicks and an adult. In the tree are also a Cat Bird and two Maryland Yellow Throats.

Fierce pair of Fish Hawks with a successful catch.
