This fine pair of maps is the first state, published by Prevost. They cover the entire course of the St, Lawrence River, the central exploration and trade route into interior Canada. The maps detail the many rocks and shoals with numerous villages and forts along the shore. Each map decorated with lovely, matched cartouches in the rococo-style.
