An interesting pair providing a great contrast between the 18th and 19th century maps. Amerique Meridionale, by R. Bonne, circa 1780, (8.2 x 12.5") is an attractive small map with fair interior and coastal detail. South America, by the SDUK, 1842, (12 x 15.2") is one of the most detailed maps of the period.
