The tiniest of miniature maps, focused on Guyana. Amazingly good detail with illustrated topography, this map features the mythical Lake Parime, with the city of Manoa on its northwest shore. This city was thought to be El Dorado, or the golden city of the Incas. The search for this fabled city led many explorers, including Sir Walter Raleigh, on wild adventures through the jungles. Locates Bocca del Dragon, or Dragon's Mouth referring to Columbus' reports of the same area.

Delicate original color with some marginal soil and a small crease on upper right corner, still very good.
