Uncommon and beautiful map based on Blaeu's map of the same period. It covers from India to Southern Japan and includes much detail of the Dutch discoveries in the Gulf of Carpenteria, Northern Australia and New Guinea. Finely decorated with several sailing ships, a sea monster and a lovely title cartouche flanked by a merchant and a warrior.

Lightly toned with a couple of tiny tears in blank margins. A bit of unobtrusive offsetting in image, still very good.
