A nice map from this later issue of the Atlas Minor. The map covers from the Indian subcontinent to southern China with the Malay Peninsula, Siam, Cambodia, and the Philippines. It also includes the northern parts of Sumatra and Borneo. The mythical Caiemai Lacus appears northeast of India, along with two large lakes in China. Many of the place names reflect Portuguese activity throughout the region. One of the most interesting features of southern Malaysia is a large northeasterly channel bisecting the peninsula between P. Jimaon and Padram - perhaps misrepresenting the island of Singapore. Parte Seconda Libro V - 205 is overprinted in left border. Italian text on verso.
