A beautiful map of all Africa decorated with ships, sea monsters, coat of arms, and title cartouche. Based on Sanson's map (1650), this map includes more place names and is embellished with ships, sea monsters and a heraldic dedication to Charles Howard, Earl of Carlisle. The Nile River originates from two large lakes.

Good impression. Close trimmed to outside of neatline on three sides, surface soil.
