Reduced version of one of the most famous and elaborate Northwest Passage maps ever made. It is from Delisle's Carte Generale des Decouvertes de l'Amiral de Fonte of 1752. The map features the spurious passage of Admiral de Fonte from the Pacific through De Fontes Lake and into Hudson Bay. It also shows a huge Sea of the West, tracks of explorers drawn from Russian sources, and part of Northeast Asia. This smaller map was included in the March, 1754 edition of Gentleman's Magazine.
