Unusual little atlas focusing on the geography of the ancient world. One view, 19 maps, most double-page and 41 text pages. Includes three modern maps: world with colonial holdings shown in color, Paris to Berlin showing the principle battlefields, and Europe in 1872. Hardcover in red linen with embossing, gilt stamped lettering of title on front, publishers stamp on back cover. A very nice atlas.

Condition: B
Covers have light shelf wear, a couple small ink stains, corners bumped. Binding nice and tight, front pastedown cracked. Previous owners name dated 1875 on pastedown. Maps generally fine, a few with short marginal splits.
