Set of three maps related to the Sangre de Christo land grant. 1) "Exhibit A. Map of the grant situated in San Luis Valle Colorado Territory." The estate of the Colorado Freehold land is represented by the colored portion (11.6 x 17.2"). Printed color map showing arable land, gold and silver land and pasture land. Topography is nicely developed and notable detail is illustrated. 2) "Map of the Sangre de Cristo Grant in Colorado & New Mexico" (12 x 23"), BW. A triangulation map by E.H. Kellogg showing public land grid, Fort Garland, settlements, surveying points, Rio Grande del Norte and other rivers, creeks, mountain peaks and roads. 3) "Topographical Map of the Exterior Boundaries of the Sangre de Christo Grant" (13.5 x 23"), B/W. Details the exterior boundaries of the grant plus the tract purchased by the U.S. Freehold and Emigration Company. A rarely offered matched set detailing Colorado's first land grant.
