Very interesting small map depicting the breadth of the continent too narrowly and the Salomon Islands too near to South America. The map is jammed with place names, particularly along the coastlines. Routes of Pacific explorers are shown. A huge (uncolored) pictorial cartouche takes in nearly a quarter of the sheet and features a variety of native occupations, a mermaid, sailing ships and wildlife.

Some uneven toning in blank ocean, else very good.
