A great map of the region based on the work of Hessel Gerritsz who traveled in the region in 1628. The map includes the Parime Lacus and Manoa, o el Dorado. The map is richly embellished with a very large title cartouche and distance scale, both flanked by Native Brazilians and the mythical figures of Mercury and Neptune.
