Very finely engraved chart that shows all of the Pacific, coast of China, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Indonesia, Alaska and the coast of N. & S. America. Large inset of the Sandwich Islands. Numerous notes and a smaller inset that details 1800 miles of Antarctica coastline as explored by the U.S. Exploring expedition in 1840. Decorative borders. A very handsome chart.

Very fine original coloring. One very small spot in the Friendly Islands and a light blue watercolor drop, still very good.
