Attractive copper engraved map that covers most of the continent less the extreme north coast. Details the course of the Amazon River and locates major cities as well as small villages. The Falklands are here named Is. Malouines. Decorative rococo-style cartouche. On a full sheet (22" x 17.5") with text panels at both sides, all surrounded by elaborate decorative borders that include scenes of putti, globes, instruments, etc.
