A later Dutch edition of Herrera's 1601 map of the Spanish colonial possession of Nuevo Reino, comprising part of present-day Columbia. Locates Cartagena, Santa Marta, Valledupar and several other towns. Includes Lago de Maracaibo and a bit of Venezuela. The lack of detail on this uncommon map reflects the official policy of protecting Spanish knowledge of the New World.
