Splendid sea chart covering the Barents Sea coast from Finland to Nova Zemla with north oriented to the left. The chart is embellished with compass roses, sailing ships, whaling scenes and an incredible title cartouche featuring a scene of men fighting bears and sea monsters.

Condition: A

Very dark impression and fine coloring. Marginal damage to corners with some old professional repairs, also on centerfold in lower margin just into map's border, still very good.
