A beautiful map of the Persian Empire, which includes present-day Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Two large pictorial cartouches (uncolored) graphically depicting the cultural attainments of the empire. The map is filled with detail of towns, mountains, forests, and even a village scene engraved in the Turkistan region.

Sharp impression with original color. Some old repairs in margins, short split on bottom centerfold just into map, and light damp stains.
