This is a follow-up to Thompson's early work on Connecticut cartography that covered maps issued prior to 1800. This volume details many important maps by American cartographers and tells the story of the states development. In his annotations Thompson comments upon authorship, describes differences between copies, points out inaccuracies, and indicates the depository that holds the map. 111 pp. Hardbound in blue buckram with a small colored map of the State of Connecticut tipped onto cover. Mylar protective dust jacket. First edition, #233 of 250 copies printed.
