A great little reference that is well illustrated. Provides a bibliography and chronological guide to pre-1700 maps, a nice selection of maps printed after 1700, the variations of Ortelius' pocket atlas, and much more of interest. Little has been written about the subject and, as such, this guide is invaluable to collectors, libraries and dealers. Hardbound in red buckram with illustrated dust jacket.
