The map is filled with interesting information concerning the ocean currents and shipping lanes with great detail of even tiny islands. In the western United States are early transitional territorial boundaries and the proposed new territories of Nevada, Arizona and Colona (the pre-Colorado territorial name). The map includes marvelous detail including Indian names, forts, and roads.
