Handsome double-page map absolutely filled with details. County development in Kansas restricted to the eastern portion. Locates proposed railroad routes, trails, forts, etc. This issue is adorned with three engraved vignettes: Fire on the Prairie; Spearing Fish; and Santa Fe from the Great Missouri Trail, which shows a joyous wagon train first sighting the town. Decorative borders.
