Miniature map of the strategic Strait of Magellan. Tierra del Fuego is still shown as a large landmass with the strapwork title and scale cartouches conveniently obscuring its extents. The tiny map is beautifully engraved with a stippled sea, elaborate compass rose and penguins decorating the scale cartouche.
