An interesting woodcut map of central and most of northern Italy with north oriented to the bottom. The major cities (Rome, Venice, Pisa, Florence, Genoa) are all represented by large castles. Includes Corsica and a bit of Sardinia. On verso is a large woodblock illustration of minstrels, a farmer and the two-faced Janus (mythological Roman god of gates, doors, beginnings, endings and doorways).
