Copper engraved map covering from Thailand to Papua New Guinea. Includes a portion of Formosa and names the city Tay-wan. Good detail with even tiny islands named, e.g. Nila, Bird Isle, etc. Several interesting notations concerning the unexplored regions and the inhabitants. Large pictorial title cartouche with a local house and snakes. An uncommon issue.
