Pair of interesting charts with diagrams of armillary spheres, the solar system, compass roses, plans explaining eclipses, the seasons, phases of the moon, etc. First is by L. Dussieux, ca. 1856 (15.5 x 10.5). Second is by A. Vuillemin, ca. 1843 (17.2 x 12.4"). It includes a thematic plan of the highest mountains, a similar plan of the longest rivers, and a 'legend' map showing various cartographic symbols used in mapmaking.
