A striking, beautifully engraved and colored map that features an Independent Texas and Oregon Territory extending well into Canada. A huge territory extending from the Red River in Texas all the way to Canada is mislabeled as a second Missouri. Four inset maps of the regions around Washington (DC), Boston, New York and Philadelphia cover the Southwest. A color legend identifies thirty-one states and territories. A rarely seen issue.
