Matched set of public survey maps from 1854, 1855 and 1859. Together they show the progress of public surveys in the state and are a fascinating study of the survey progress over a six-year period. The map of 1859 includes a list of 196 private grants finally surveyed. Sizes vary: 1854 [46.2 x 20.2"], 1855 [31.5 x 36.5"), and 1859 [30 x 35.5"]. A terrific find for the California collector.
