Handsome double-page map absolutely filled with details. County development in Kansas is restricted to the eastern portion. Locates proposed RR routes, trails, forts, etc. This issue is adorned with three engraved vignettes: Fire on the Prairie; Spearing Fish; and Santa Fe from the Great Missouri Trail that shows a joyous wagon trail first sighting the town. Decorative borders.
