A well rendered birds-eye view of the island with numerous sailing ships, decorative cartouche with putti, sunset and towering clouds on the horizon. A compass rose and rhumb lines appear to be placed on the ocean surface in 3-D perspective. The island was an important re-fueling stop for ships in the South Atlantic providing fresh water, fruit and meat to the early explorers.
