Beautifully engraved large map of the region of the world that was known in classical times, with up-to-date detail of topography and place names. The Nile River is still shown with its twin lakes source in the Lunae Montes located above the Equator. Inset at top left is "Indiae Extra Ganem pars Reliqua." Decorative title cartouche flanked by two scholars. Published by Robert Sayer.
