A great book that traces United States history from the first settlements up through the late 1800's. One of the few books to illustrate nineteenth century maps. 143 pages and 78 full color illustrations. A good reference, as well as a beautiful book with excellent reproductions of maps throughout. Hardbound in beige cloth with title in gilt on front cover and spine, with dust jacket in protective glassine cover.
