A neatly executed map of the world showing the latest discoveries. Western coastlines appear in Alaska and Canada with a note Discovered in 1741. Another note, Land discovered in 1741, see Gent. Mag. Vol. 24, appears in the region of the Aleutian Islands. The British Colonies are shown with their boundaries extending to the Pacific coast. Dotted lines show a potential River of the West connecting large lakes in Canada with the Pacific. New Holland is partially formed and only the western coastline of New Zealand is delineated.
