Grand map of the Mediterranean and Near East extending to the Caspian Sea, and including Persia, the Arabian peninsula and also covering most of southern Europe and northern Africa. Below are 2 insets, one of a similar area to the large map and the other of the Peloponnese Peninsula (Greece). At sides are tables describing the countries and towns depicted on the maps, together with historical notes on the Empire of Alexander the Great and the Roman Empire. Two sheets joined, as issued.
