Charming map of Southern Asia based on Ptolemy and other ancient sources. Numerous small islands surround the huge island of Taprobana. India is severely truncated and the Malay Peninsula is oddly shaped. Beyond the Sinus Magnus lays an indefinite landmass labeled Sinae that flows off the map both to the east and south. Adorned with a nice title cartouche. Engraved by Petrus Kaerius.
