A fine rendering of the fortified city on a small peninsula with a French ship under full sail in the foreground and vast mountains in the background. A galley is underway with oars at the ready. Picture frame border and second title in Latin. Gigeri was about 120 miles from Algiers on the Barbary Coast. The French maintained a factory and fort there until the Arabs routed them in 1664.
