A museum quality leaf from an Italian Book of Hours, written on very high quality vellum. The text is written in a very fine humanistic book hand and the decorations are exquisitely executed. Each side contains several small initials in red, blue and gold and one four-line historiated initial painted in superb Renaissance style. The text is from the Hours of the Virgin, Vespers and has the full text of Psalm 121 and part of 126.
