Italian edition of Magini's Ptolemy. Two parts in one thick quarto volume - Vol. II titled "La Seconda Parte Della Geografia de cl Tolomeo" and dated 1620. Rebound in red cloth covers. Two title pages, twenty-seven Ptolemaic maps and thirty-five modern maps. Includes a fine map of the Americas, and all four world maps by Girolamo Porro (Orbis Terrae Compendiosa Descriptio, Ptolemai Typus, Universi Orbis Descriptio, and Universi Orbis Descriptio ad Vsum Navigantium). All finely engraved in the Italian style with stippled seas. Numerous diagrams in text plus hundreds of small woodcut historated letters and other graphics. A very nice and complete atlas published by Pablo and Francesco Galignani. Maps very good to good with exception of Poloniae Regnum with heavy staining, tear and puncture.
