Attractive title page from a later edition of this book on Dutch history and Lord Michiel de Ruyter, the famous admiral who spent much of his life fighting the Spanish in the 80-years war, the Barbary pirates, and finally the English and French. The sheet includes allegorical figures and a bust of the admiral set against a background of naval battle.
