A beautifully engraved chart of the Azores based on Luis Teixeira's cartographic work. Two ornate title cartouches and a title banner are at top center. The sea is fully engraved in stipple and features a sea monster and sailing ships. Dutch text on verso, published in 1598.

References: Van den Broecke #24.

Condition: A

Fine impression and old color. Minor tiny tears and stains in wide margins, well away from map.
