Remarkably beautiful map that features four decorative cartouches, numerous ships in a fully stippled sea with monsters being ridden by figures holding flags. Very decorative compass rose in the center of the island with rhumb lines radiating outward and lovely scroll lettering in sea. This map is after Durham's earlier map of 1595 as mentioned by Speed on the plate. Imprint of Roger Rea the Elder and younger at ye Golden Crosse. A beautiful map that would benefit from a little professional attention.
