An uncommon map of the region of northern Italy, eastern Switzerland, western Austria and southern Germany comprising the Tyrol area. The map is finely engraved to show mountains, lakes, rivers, roads, fortresses, cities and tiny villages. The large title cartouche includes an interesting landscape including a view of the fortress at Kosel, which was built into the side of a mountain with the only access being via a rope.
