Finely detailed plan of one of the most important battles in English military history. On August 13, 1704 at Blenheim (Blindheim) in Bavaria, the Allied troops under John Churchill, the first Duke of Marlborough, defeated the forces of Louis XIV in the War of Spanish Succession. In doing so Churchill saved Vienna - and ultimately England - from a French invasion. The handsome plan is embellished with a large French-style title cartouche.
