Two copper engravings showing the vicinity of present-day Istanbul. First (16.5 x 13.7") shows the fourteen neighborhoods of Constantinople with its fortifications. Several ships are shown in the sea and the map is decorated with strapwork cartouches and a compass rose. Second (11.2 x 8") illustrates the strategic position of the city and shows its fourteen divisions.
