A large map of the Persian Empire, which includes present-day Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Two large pictorial cartouches (uncolored) graphically depicting the cultural attainments of the empire. The map is filled with detail of towns, mountains, forests, and even a village scene engraved in the Turkistan region.

Light impression in upper cartouche. Old repairs on bottom centerfold and tear entering 2" into map near bottom fold.
