This is a rare broadsheet map printed by S. Fletcher of Burlington, VT to advertise the Champlain Transportation Company's steamboat service. The map covers both the water and road routes from Albany to Montreal. Text at sides describe the steamboats, the service, the history of the region and points of interest along the route. A vignette of the Burlington noted as being "not only the finest boat ever built on Lake Champlain, but is probably unsurpassed in neatness, beauty and comfort by any boat in the United States."
