This rare little map shows the east coast from Maine to Carolina and west to include Lake Ontario and a bit of Lake Erie. The region labeled Nova Svecia consists of small settlements along the banks of the Delaware River into modern Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland. Place names include Philadelphia, Goteborg, Fort Christina (Wilmington) and Fort Elfsborg (near present-day Salem).
