This very handsome map of the northern Netherlands is boldly engraved in Coronelli's style. It locates the fortified cities of Amsterdam, Hoorn, Haerlem, Alkmaar and Edam. The region is filled with a meticulous portrayal of the canals, dykes, windmills, and polders, a large number of which are named. A dedication banner and coat of arms is supported by five sea-daimones.
