Handsome map vividly depicting the mountainous regions and the fertile river valleys. Three strapwork cartouches including one that credits Sambucus's map of 1566 as the basis of this map. Third state and most likely published in 1601 based on length of plate crack in lower margins and page 97 on verso. Latin text on verso.

Beautiful impression and original coloring. A little surface soil in margins.
