Superb large map of Egypt with incredible detail along the course of the Nile River. At the confluence of the White and Blue Nile Homann depicts a huge series of cataracts. Nearly a third of the map is engraved with fascinating scenes of the cataracts, pyramids, various antiquities, scenes of embalming, and ancient furnaces.

Old paper repair on fold separation at left, just entering border. A few tiny rust spots, one with a pin hole.
